Study Questions

We have dedicated writers who create sermon-based questions which allows everyone the opportunity to dig in deeper together as a family or alone. There are now questions geared towards children included! What a great opportunity to invest in our families! We would encourage everyone to utilize this great resource!

SUMMER SCHEDULE

During the summer the majority of our groups take a break so wewill be posting the weekly "Reflections & Devotions" below.

JULY 27, 2025

PRAISE:  “When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive. For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.: Psalm 69: 32-33

PONDER: The desperate cries of David to the Lord may resonate with us more having recently seen the images of devastating floods and been heartbroken at the loss of life.  Have the choices you’ve made or the circumstances you’re enduring ever made you feel like you were drowning or caught in a deep mire with no foothold? Do you go to God's word for guidance and comfort? As you read through Psalm, how often do you see similarities between David’s lament  and what Jesus endured (v. 4, 8, 9, 21)? Even in his agony in the garden before his crucifixion, Jesus followed his cries of lament to his Father with “yet not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42).  Do you trust Him enough to pray like that?

PRAY:  Oh, Father. Thank you for hearing my cries.  Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning in my sin. Sometimes I’m so entangled in my own thoughts and fears that I don’t know how to move forward. I mess up and you still love me. My faith wavers, and you still love me. Sometimes I try to fight my own way out and I just get more stuck. Thank you for your mercy. Help me be like Jesus to trust you even in the times that seem hopeless. I need you.  I praise you. I magnify you with thanksgiving. And I pray in the saving name of Jesus.
